Our client, a well-established and growing fire protection specialist, is looking to recruit a Fire Design Engineer to join their team, supporting projects across London and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a diverse range of commercial projects, designing compliant fire detection and life safety systems from concept through to completion.

You'll collaborate with project managers, clients and installation teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 and relevant industry standards.
  • Produce detailed design drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Carry out site surveys where required.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams to develop effective design solutions.
  • Review project specifications and ensure designs meet client requirements.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all designs comply with current fire safety legislation and best practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Fire Design Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm system design and BS 5839.
  • Experience using Auto CAD or similar design software.
  • Good understanding of fire safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
