Our client, a well-established and growing fire protection specialist, is looking to recruit a Fire Design Engineer to join their team, supporting projects across London and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a diverse range of commercial projects, designing compliant fire detection and life safety systems from concept through to completion.
You'll collaborate with project managers, clients and installation teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 and relevant industry standards.
- Produce detailed design drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
- Carry out site surveys where required.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams to develop effective design solutions.
- Review project specifications and ensure designs meet client requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs comply with current fire safety legislation and best practice.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Fire Design Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm system design and BS 5839.
- Experience using Auto CAD or similar design software.
- Good understanding of fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
