We are seeking multi-skilled Gate and Barrier Engineers to join our expanding team, working across London, the East, and South of England, with occasional UK-wide travel. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, and fault finding of a wide range of security and access control systems. This position is ideal for engineers from the security industry or those with a multi-skilled maintenance background (electrical bias), looking to develop within a specialist and high-profile sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of gates, barriers, turnstiles, road blockers, bollards, and associated systems
  • Fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance
  • Working on control systems including PLCs, hydraulics, and electrical circuitry
  • Delivering high-quality work across a variety of client sites, including critical infrastructure
  • Completing job reports and liaising professionally with clients on-site

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical fault-finding ability
  • Experience with hydraulics, PLCs, and control systems (preferred)
  • Background in security systems or maintenance engineering (manufacturing considered)
  • Possible time-served apprenticeship (electrical/mechanical advantageous)
  • Computer literate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel UK-wide and participate in a call-out rota (1 week in 5-6)
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance due to high-profile clients (e.g. government/CPNI sites)

  • Starting salary of £37,500 - £40,000 DOE
  • Realistic earnings of £45,000 - £60,000+ with overtime and door-to-door pay
