Marble Talent Group are recruiting on behalf of our client who are seeking a commercially astute professional to lead all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with delivery teams and Department Managers, providing clear contractual guidance and ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed commercial and operational plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all contract documentation, providing advice on both pre-tender and post-contract matters
- Prepare and issue contractual correspondence to clients and subcontractors
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and design teams post-contract
- Lead material procurement strategies and negotiate subcontract agreements
- Ensure timely submission of interim valuations and applications for payment
- Manage and resolve variations to maximise project value
- Certify subcontractor valuations and final accounts, and agree final accounts with clients
- Carry out cost and value reconciliations and oversee regular financial reporting
- Monitor project programmes to support timely and successful delivery
- Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of the commercial team
Skills & Experience
- HNC/HND/BSc in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (Chartered status or RICS membership preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
- Commercially aware, proactive, and solution-focused
- Experience managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across different business areas
- Committed to continuous improvement and adding value
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant placement
- Knowledge or exposure to Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects
