About the Role

Marble Talent Group are looking for an experienced and motivated Buyer to join our client’s Procurement Team. This is a key role responsible for sourcing mechanical materials and services to support project delivery across the business. You will play a vital part in ensuring projects run smoothly by managing purchase orders, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. If you are organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders, liaising closely with suppliers to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial supplier relationships
  • Monitor material deliveries, proactively identify potential delays, and resolve issues to keep projects on track
  • Work collaboratively with the Accounts team to resolve invoice queries quickly and accurately
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product developments, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues, contractors, and customers as required
  • Support the Procurement Team in maintaining smooth operational processes
  • Carry out general administrative duties including document control, data management, printing, and filing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Experience using the Sage Purchase Ordering System (desirable)
