Marble Mayne Recruitment Company

Management Accountant

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
Location: Central London (Chancery Lane) with hybrid working available
Contract: Full-time, permanent (35 hours per week)
Closing date: 12 November 2026

We are delighted to be working with a well-established professional membership body and registered charity to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, fully qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership of their work, improving financial processes and working closely with stakeholders across an organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful management information, leading budgeting and forecasting processes and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained.

Crucially, we are looking for someone with strong, hands‑on experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This is an essential requirement, as the successful candidate will be expected to develop into the team's internal systems expert, supporting colleagues, resolving queries and identifying opportunities to improve how the system is used.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of a broad range of management accounting, financial planning and financial control responsibilities, including:

  • Producing monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis, variance reporting and commentary.

  • Leading the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasting, working closely with budget holders across the organisation.

  • Taking ownership of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, investigating discrepancies and maintaining strong financial controls.

  • Developing a detailed understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, becoming the finance team's go-to expert for systems queries and improvements.

  • Working with budget holders to review financial performance, challenge assumptions and support effective financial decision-making.

  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, year-end reporting and the annual audit.

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting and make better use of financial systems.

About You

We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Management Accountants or Finance Managers who can demonstrate the following:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – essential.

  • Strong, practical experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – essential.

  • Extensive management accounting experience, including producing accurate monthly accounts and meaningful financial analysis.

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting experience, with the confidence to lead these processes independently.

  • Excellent technical accounting skills, particularly around balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and month-end accounting.

  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.

  • Advanced Excel skills and a genuine interest in financial systems, reporting and process improvement.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with, and constructively challenge, budget holders.

Experience within a charity, membership body or not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous, particularly knowledge of FRS 102 and the Charities SORP.

This role would suit someone who is technically confident, comfortable getting into the detail and able to take responsibility for delivering high-quality financial information. You will need to be equally comfortable working independently and engaging with colleagues across the organisation.

Benefits

The organisation offers an attractive benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid working

  • Employer pension contributions of up to 10%.

  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and additional days off between Christmas and New Year.

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • Life assurance and income protection.

  • Employee assistance programme and wellbeing support.

  • Generous learning and development opportunities, including funded professional membership.

  • Staff social activities and employee discounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, established organisation in a varied and responsible finance role where you can make a genuine impact.
