We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a 3-month project focused on strengthening the firm’s financial and operational insight. The role will play a key part in building bottom-up models that improve budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, capacity planning, and performance monitoring. This is a hands-on, project-driven role requiring strong analytical capability, financial modelling expertise, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across the business.
Your Key Areas of Impact
- Build a bottom-up financial and operational model of the firm
- Support improved budgeting, forecasting, and objective-setting processes
- Enable data-driven business and investment decisions
- Design and implement an activity-based costing framework
- Cost the use of central resources provided to each Partner Firm
- Provide clear visibility into deal-level and partnership profitability
- Develop models to assess the throughput capacity of operational infrastructure
- Support planning and budgeting for capacity increases required to grow the Partner Firm portfolio
- Support the design of a KPI and OKR-driven performance monitoring system
- Help establish metrics and reporting that track progress against strategic objectives
What We Are Looking For
- Prior experience in consulting (finance, strategy, or operations) or in a corporate finance, FP&A, or controlling function.
- Relevant educational background in business administration, accounting/finance, industrial engineering or related quantitative disciplines.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to structure complex financial and operational problems, manipulate large enterprise datasets and translate them into clear, data-driven models.
- Advanced Excel skills, including building bottom-up financial and operational models from raw data.
- Project management experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- The ability to immediately build rapport and relationships across the firm.
- Experience in or familiarity with asset management, financial services, or banking environments would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
This role would particularly suit candidates with backgrounds such as:
- Analyst experience in a consulting firm (finance, strategy, or operations practice)
- Financial analyst experience within a corporate control, finance, or FP&A function
- Experience in an asset manager, bank, or financial services organisation a plus
- MBA students, graduate program participants, or candidates seeking a high-impact professional experience alongside their studies may be well suited to this role providing that they are able to commit to the duration of this project.
The successful candidate will be available for the duration of the contracted term and have flexibility to start quickly. We are open to considering a contract arrangement with a day rate or a fixed-term employment model depending on the candidate. There is potential for the role to lead to a longer-term or permanent opportunity, subject to performance and business needs. The role is situated in London and there is an expectation to be in our London office 5 days per week. The closing date for applications is 25 January 2026.
