We're hiring on behalf of a globally recognised B2B events and conference business with an established reputation for delivering industry-leading content, networking and commercial opportunities across a wide range of international markets. For over four decades, the business has partnered with senior decision-makers from some of the world's most influential organisations, creating high-value conferences and events that drive innovation, business growth and industry transformation. With a strong presence across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East, the company continues to invest in its people, event portfolios and future growth.

As part of this expansion, we're seeking a Delegate Sales Team Leader to lead a team of Delegate Sales Executives across a portfolio of market-leading events covering Customer Experience (CX), Legal, Pharma and Data. This is a genuine player-manager position, combining leadership responsibilities with hands-on selling. You'll be responsible for driving team performance, developing your people and ensuring revenue targets are consistently exceeded, whilst remaining actively involved in key delegate acquisition campaigns yourself.

The Role:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 2-4 Delegate Sales Executives
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and ongoing coaching sessions
  • Set, manage and monitor individual and team KPIs
  • Drive outbound sales activity, pipeline generation and conversion rates
  • Support team members in overcoming objections and closing opportunities
  • Take ownership of team target delivery and revenue performance
  • Maintain your own personal sales target and revenue contribution
  • Forecast accurately and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership
  • Identify development opportunities within the team and build succession plans
  • Recruit, onboard and train new hires where required
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Marketing and Event teams
  • Attend and support the delivery of events onsite
  • Ensure delegate attendance targets are achieved across multiple launches and event cycles

About You/Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' sales management experience
  • Experience directly managing at least 2 sales representatives
  • Proven success delivering against individual and team revenue targets
  • Experience conducting 1:1s, coaching and performance management conversations
  • Strong understanding of KPI management, sales reporting and forecasting
  • Ability to motivate, develop and hold individuals accountable
  • A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to lead from the front
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Desirable:

  • Delegate sales experience
  • Conference, events, media, publishing or B2B commercial sales experience
  • Experience within a high-volume outbound sales environment
  • Experience selling to senior decision-makers and business leaders
  • Exposure to CX, Legal, Pharma or Data sectors

What's On Offer?

  • Base salary up to £50,000
  • Uncapped personal commission
  • Override commission on all team revenue
  • Hybrid London working
  • Clear progression opportunities into senior sales leadership
  • Access to globally recognised event brands and established portfolios
  • A high-performance, collaborative and supportive culture
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing international business

Important: This is not a first-time management opportunity. To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' experience managing at least 2 direct reports within a sales environment and be able to demonstrate experience of coaching, performance management, KPI ownership and target delivery. If you're a proven sales leader who enjoys developing talent, driving commercial performance and still thrives on winning business yourself, we'd love to hear from you.
