Key responsibilities of the Turndown Assistant

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
  • Prepare guest rooms for evening service (e.g., closing curtains, dimming lights, adjusting room temperature if required).
  • Refresh beds by removing decorative items, folding back covers, and arranging pillows neatly.
  • Replenish guest amenities such as bottled water, glasses, toiletries, and stationery.
  • Replace used towels with fresh ones and tidy the bathroom area.
  • Empty bins and ensure the room is clean and presentable.
  • Place slippers, robes, or other guest comfort items as per hotel standards.
  • Deliver small guest requests or amenities as directed (e.g., extra pillow, blanket).
  • Report any maintenance issues or lost property in line with hotel policy
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with hotel service standards and within allocated timeframes.

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeper or a similar role preferred, not essential
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
