About the role
We are hiring for a Seasonal Greenkeeper, on a 6 month Fixed term contract, to assist the Golf Course & Estates team with daily setup, presentation and general maintenance of the golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily course set up
- Prepare and maintain bunkers, including raking, weeding and general presentation
- Carry out divoting and repair work on playing surfaces
- Strim and tidy playing and landscaped areas
- Support the greenkeeping team with general maintenance tasks as required
- Operate pedestrian and hand-held equipment safely
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Report any hazards or maintenance issues to the Deputy Head Greenkeeper
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be reliable and punctual, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good team player
- Willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic understanding of golf course maintenance
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is advantageous
