ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an organised, experienced and service driven
Sales Office Manager to oversee the reactive sales and events sales offices function at JA Mar Hall.
This role will lead the daily operation of the Sales/Events Office team, managing all inbound enquiries relating to weddings, meetings, events, and group business while ensuring exceptional conversion, organisation, and client experience standards.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales (Executive Role), the Sales Office Manager (HOD Role) will oversee the Wedding & Events Sales Manager and Events Coordinator, ensuring a seamless journey from enquiry through to operational handover.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reactive Sales Leadership
- Manage all reactive sales enquiries across weddings, meetings, events, and group reservations business
- Drive enquiry conversion and ensure timely, professional client and internal operational communication
- Oversee sales administration, proposal quality, and follow up standards Support the achievement of all budgeted sales including events, weddings and group revenue targets
- Team Leadership and Coordination
- Lead and support the Wedding Sales Manager and Events Coordinator.
- Ensure strong organisation, communication, and operational standards within the sales office
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and support conversion strategy maintaining accountability for enquiry handling and response times
- Setting up and hosting proactive sales activity days to target new business supported by the Sales Manager.
- Client Journey and Collaboration
- Ensure a seamless handover process from sales conversion to operational delivery
- Work closely with operational departments to communicate client expectations and event details
- Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the booking journey Support site visits and client meetings where required
- Sales Administrative Management
- Monitor enquiry trends, conversion performance, and office productivity
- Support reporting and forecasting activity for the Director of Sales
- Ensure all systems and records are maintained accurately and professionally
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
About You
- Previous experience within hotel sales, events, or reactive sales management
- Strong organisational and administrative capability
- Experience managing weddings, meetings, groups or luxury events business
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of conversion and sales processes
- Ability to manage a fast paced office environment with attention to detail
- Experience having line management responsibility for other co-ordinators.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
