Key responsibilities of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will include:
- Assist in leading and managing the teams across all outlets, ensuring exceptional service standards across both outlets.
- Support the daily restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience and the ability to effectively multitask to meet business needs.
- Help recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team, conducting performance reviews and personal development plans (PDPs).
- Monitor payroll and staffing levels to ensure productivity and control costs in line with budgeted targets.
- Contribute to revenue growth by supporting the implementation of strategies to meet or exceed forecasted targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety across all areas.
- Foster positive working relationships with all departments, promoting collaboration and ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist in introducing new initiatives based on industry trends to enhance the customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive revenue.
- Help train and educate staff to ensure compliance with regulations and company quality standards.
- Address guest queries, concerns, and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in greeting guests, organizing reservations, and providing recommendations for menu and wine choices.
- Support stock management, ordering supplies, and managing cash drawers and petty cash.
- Ensure all legal, health, safety, and fire safety standards, as well as licensing laws, are followed.
The Ideal Assistant Food and Beverage Manager:
- Proven experience in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment at a supervisory or assistant management level.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage, with an understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to effectively manage and inspire a team.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on optimising sales and guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and guest expectations.
