About the Role
We are a growing logistics company with an in-house vehicle workshop and SMART repair network (DWV), expanding our services to include accident repair and bodyshop operations. We are looking for a Bodyshop Manager to take responsibility for developing and running this function within the business. This role offers the opportunity to shape the bodyshop operation while working within an established, structured environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Initial Phase
- Work within the existing workshop to understand systems, workflow, and fleet requirements
- Carry out SMART repairs, minor bodywork, and vehicle preparation where required
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
- Development Phase
- Support the development of the bodyshop operation and workflow
- Contribute to improving processes, efficiency, and throughput
- Assist with onboarding and organising additional staff
- Ongoing Responsibilities
- Lead, organise, and develop a team of technicians
- Allocate work and monitor productivity
- Ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Maintain efficient turnaround times and overall performance
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a bodyshop / accident repair environment
- Background as a Bodyshop Controller, Supervisor, or Senior Technician
- Strong understanding of workshop operations and repair processes
- Ability to take ownership and manage responsibilities effectively
- Hands-on approach with attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, and organised
- Full UK driving licence
