Responsibilities
- Drive responsibly and within the law at all times, adhering to speed limits and due regard for other road users.
- Check the delivery vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and report any defects found.
- Load the vehicle safely, securely and with care for parcels.
- Record your driving daily duties, hours worked, working time, mileage and fuel.
- Maintain a good standard of safe and fuel efficient driving and hazard awareness.
- Have a good working knowledge of the Highway Code and follow pre‑planned routes.
- Ensure the vehicle is parked legally and securely while collecting and delivering parcels.
- Ensure all goods are accounted for and scanned as required.
Qualifications
- Hold a UK or EU Driving Licence for at least 1 year.
- Have less than 6 points on the licence.
- Be able to pass a DBS check.
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test on induction day.
- Have previous experience as a delivery driver.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Delivery, DPD, DHL, Parcelforce, Evri, Tesco, etc.
