Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be working with a UK-based organisation that has experienced rapid growth from circa £3m to £30m over the last 6 years, with a clear growth trajectory ahead. This is a project-based business that is now looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and bridging the gap between the Financial Controller and the Finance Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Financial Controller, supervising/mentoring 3 x Finance Administrators
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis – prepayments, accruals, posting journals
  • Own and improve reporting processes across the business
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Assist with project accounting and profitability tracking
  • CIS returns
  • Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight
  • Support process improvements and system optimisation (Xero)
  • Assist the Financial Controller with year-end and audit processes

Key Requirements:

  • Part-Qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or the equivalent) with hands-on experience in full management accounting experience
  • Experience in SME / growing business environments (project industry experience helpful but not essential)
  • Strong finance ERP systems experience (Xero), Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills

Please note this role is based in Hemel Hempstead and requires individuals who would be happy to commit to a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
