Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a heritage apparel clothing brand on their hire for an HR Coordinator to join their Head Office function on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to business growth and will be working directly with the HR Manager (UK & Ireland) in a generalist HR role, supporting with all HR administration, Payroll and generalist HR duties for store and Head Office staff. This will be the perfect opportunity for individuals earlier on in their HR career looking for a generalist position in a dynamic and adaptable retail environment and for those who are happy to be hands-on with HR/Payroll administration but looking for the opportunity to learn and gain more exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Administration: Effective management and building of staff files, ensuring compliance across all locations and maintaining them by Data Protection Principles. Primary responsibility for keeping Workday up to date with staff information, holidays as well as starters/leavers/changes. Draft all new starter contracts and new starter packs, ensuring new starters have access to the relevant system.
- Payroll: Collate store hours and enter them onto the payroll sheet each month. Support the HR Manager with the checking of payslips. Support the administration of the annual bonus process as well as annual pay reviews.
- Learning and Development: Support management learning and development by coordinating courses and also supporting with the development of a management development programme.
- Talent and Onboarding: Support store recruitment by shortlisting applicants and if required, pre-screening candidates and scheduling interviews.
- ED&I: Recommend and support initiatives to promote and support diversity, equity and inclusion. Support with E&I focus groups. Reporting on ED&I.
- ER: Support with note taking in formal meetings and providing answers to simple queries. Development and implementation of an exit interview.
Key Requirements:
- 1-2 years of practical UK HR/Payroll administration experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills is essential (comfortable using for payroll data).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- CIPD Level 3/5 will be beneficial but not essential.
- Workday will be beneficial, not essential.
- Retail HR/store industry exposure will be beneficial, not essential.
This role will be based in Farringdon London (4 days a week in the office 1 day at home) and requires full working rights for the UK.
