Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be working with a UK-based organisation that has experienced rapid growth from circa £3m to £30m over the last 6 years, with a clear growth trajectory ahead. This is a project-based business that is now looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and bridging the gap between the Financial Controller and the Finance Assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Financial Controller, supervising/mentoring 3 x Finance Administrators
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis – prepayments, accruals, posting journals
- Own and improve reporting processes across the business
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with project accounting and profitability tracking
- CIS returns
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight
- Support process improvements and system optimisation (Xero)
- Assist the Financial Controller with year-end and audit processes
Key Requirements:
- Part-Qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or the equivalent) with hands-on experience in full management accounting experience
- Experience in SME / growing business environments (project industry experience helpful but not essential)
- Exceptional communication skills
Please note this role is based in Hemel Hempstead and requires individuals who would be happy to commit to a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
