Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be working with a world-renowned luxury retail group on its search for an Accountant (Retail) to join their team permanently due to internal team moves.

This role will be well-suited to individuals who have experienced complex balance sheet accounts, ideally within a retail (store and e-commerce environment); however, we are open to industry experience for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the accounting manager
• Reconciling and clearing general ledger accounts related to retail and e-commerce
• Daily monitoring and controlling of transactions in the boutiques (sales, payments, deposits and exports)
• Submission of VAT and Intrastat
• Store commission calculation
• Reconciliation of the Cash advance monthly
• Monthly reconciliation of Stock and Consignment Stock
• Collaboration with Stores and Boutiques in relation to discrepancies with stock
• Preparing monthly prepayment release and Expense accruals
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly close activities
• Support with internal and external audit processes and process improvement

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role
• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) will be a bonus, not essential
• Excellent Excel skills and SAP will be advantageous
• Retail/Stock consumer environment will be advantageous
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to work with a range of stakeholders

Please note this role requires 4 days a week in the London Mayfair office + 1 day at home
