Maplewood Independent Living is looking for compassionate and reliable Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our growing team, supporting clients in their own homes across Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall, Ipswich and surrounding areas. We aim to keep your work within a convenient local area.

Full time & Part time Opportunities Available.

Your Role

  • Support clients to live independently in their own homes.
  • Assist with personal care and medication where required.
  • Help with daily household tasks, including meal preparation.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and shopping trips.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of clients at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with the branch manager.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (with business insurance).
  • Right to work in the UK (required).
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Reliable, professional, and caring attitude.
  • Respect for client dignity, independence, and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, with willingness to learn how to use our app for recording care notes (training provided).

  • Previous care experience is beneficial, though skills from other roles can be transferable.
  • Strong communication skills - good standard of spoken and written English.
