Maplewood Independent Living are looking for Carers / Support Workers in and around the Suffolk area. We have opened our new branch in Bury St Edmunds and are looking to build a team of caring, thoughtful, and professional individuals who want a rewarding career supporting someone in their local community. You would need to be able to drive and have business insurance. We are looking for Carers and Support Workers to support clients in their own home. Full or part time hours available.

The Role
- To support them to live as independently as possible.
- To accompany them with shopping and any appointments.
- Assist with daily tasks in the home, preparing and cooking meals.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Assisting with medication.
- Maintain clear and accurate records.
- Ensure health, safety and well-being of the service users and yourself.
- Maintain regular and courteous contact with the branch manager.
The Requirements
- Reliable with an excellent work ethic.
- Provide the highest standards of care and support.
- Respect the individuality and confidentiality of the service users.
- Respect the service users independence and authority, be mindful of their wishes and to always treat them with fairness and courtesy.
- Ensure and adhere to strict standards of health and safety thereby ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the service users and themselves at all times.
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Have a valid driving licence, own transport with business insurance.
