Assistant Accountant, United Kingdom in City of Westminster

This position will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.,

• Assist in providing financial accounting, management reporting and business partnering support
• Assist Finance Manager to review/prepare timely and high-quality monthly management reporting packs, balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc financial information prepared by outsource agent
• Support in preparation of monthly cash flow forecast and variance analysis (budget vs actuals)
• Assist with preparation of tax reports including VAT, corporation tax and ensure HMRC compliance
• Assist in preparation of full year financial reporting and statutory reporting for the group of companies
• Assist Finance Manager to ensure adherence to financial controls and accuracy of transactions processing
• Assist in the success of an ongoing finance system implementation
• Support process improvements across the company
• Assist in creating a robust financial controls framework
• Ownership of Property and Entity Accounts for all assets under management, including cashflow
• Assisting the Finance Team with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
• Ensuring internal control and compliance
• ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified Accountant (or equivalent)
• Good level of proficiency in MS Excel
• Good knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS
• Minimum of one years' relevant financial experience in the real estate industry
