About the Role

The Senior Marketing Executive reports to the Marketing Manager and works as part of the London-based Business Development and Marketing team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: to promote and position our legal teams in our London, Jersey, Luxembourg and Dubai offices as leaders in their respective markets. The successful candidate will work with the partners and other BD&M team members across these offices to devise and implement coordinated programmes of activities utilizing a broad range of marketing tactics to meet the objectives of the practice groups, offices and firm. Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding the objectives of each office and its practice groups
  2. Delivering coordinated marketing activities and initiatives ensuring they are joined up with corresponding business development plans
  3. Coordinating our global legal directory relationships and ensuring best practice across the firm
  4. Working with lawyers on the preparation of thought leadership and other profile-raising activities
  5. Preparing appropriate internal communications
  6. Managing each office’s corporate associations and sponsorships activity
  7. Developing and updating marketing collateral, other branded materials, assets and merchandise
  8. Working closely with our Digital & Creative Services team to deliver engaging content
  9. Working with our HR teams on employer brand initiatives
  10. Feeding opportunities arising from marketing activities and campaigns into our BD/CRM plans
  11. Delivering communication and broader marketing activities around our client events programme
  12. Working closely with peers in other jurisdictions to ensure appropriate coordination and collaboration as well as best practice and continuous development in our marketing activities
  13. Ensuring campaigns and activities are on budget
  14. Working with others within the BD&M team on key projects

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  1. A professional qualification in a Business or Marketing related field is preferred
  2. 8+ years of experience (preferably in legal and/or professional, B2B or financial services)
  3. Engage credibly with all members of the organisation with high level of enthusiasm and ability to use own initiative
  4. Ability to provide both strategic and operational support when needed
  5. High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle a consistent and varied workload is essential
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and juggle a number of ongoing projects with deadlines and budgets while also maintaining high quality delivery
  7. Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  8. Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving, ideally from experience gained in a professional services environment
  9. Strong relationship skills and the capability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of senior stakeholders
  10. Strong teamwork skills to work alongside and build relationships with the Marketing Team both locally and globally
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  12. Strong project management and administrative skills
