Chichester Golf Club, located in Chichester, West Sussex, is the premier golf and leisure destination on the South Coast. Proudly operated by the Maple Leaf Golf Group, we are one of four outstanding sites in the portfolio.
The club features two 18-hole parkland golf courses, a 9-hole short course, a thriving membership, a 16-bay TrackMan-powered covered driving range, and both indoor and outdoor Adventure Golf facilities. The Role: Courses Manager
We are seeking a hands-on, passionate Courses Manager to lead the continued development and maintenance of all our golf facilities. You\'ll manage a dedicated and experienced team, oversee strategic projects, and ensure Chichester Golf Club delivers top-quality playing surfaces all year round.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the greenkeeping team to deliver outstanding course conditions.
- Manage and implement the 3-year course improvement plan, including liaising with external contractors.
- Oversee maintenance of all course machinery in line with the capital replacement plan.
- Monitor and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Management Team, communicating effectively across departments.
- Build strong relationships with members, guests, and colleagues—always approachable and professional.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and legal standards.
- Embrace innovation and continuously challenge the status quo.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a senior greenkeeping or course management role.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent).
- Passionate leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
- Proactive, flexible, and committed to driving continuous improvement.
- A genuine love for golf and a deep understanding of player expectations.
