We're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and take ownership of multiple construction projects from pre-start through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident managing programmes, subcontractors, site teams and client relationships. You'll play a key role in keeping projects running smoothly, within budget and delivered to a high standard, while also helping shape and improve the way we work as a business.
Key responsibilities:- Review pending and won jobs
- Lead pre-start meetings
- Create schedules of work, materials lists and project programmes
- Prepare start-of-job packs
- Coordinate staff and subcontractors
- Complete health and safety documentation
- Monitor project progress, budgets and material costs
- Maintain strong communication with clients and site teams
- Identify upgrade opportunities and manage approved variations
- Support improvements to systems and processes
- Strong experience in the construction industry
- Experience managing multiple projects at once
- Good people management and communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to read plans
- Full driving licence
- Proactive, organised and results-driven approach
- Maintaining a target 35% gross profit margin
- Keeping call-backs below 10%
