We are recruiting for an R&D Technician role. As an integral member of our friendly, focused team you will undertake a valuable and demanding role.
The role is extremely varied and you will need to be able to work under pressure and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude to assist other members of the team as necessary.
Please note this is a full-time position based at our Stockport Workshop, it does not include working from home.
You may however be required to travel & work on site where applicable.
The main duties & responsibilities of the R&D Technician
- Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical assembly and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment
- Working to procedures and instructions
- Creating and installing sub-assemblies, looms and cables
- Wiring, soldering and crimping
- Testing, fault-finding and creating reports
- Repair and calibration
- Working both independently and in a team
- Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
Quality & key essential skills of the R&D Technician include
- Ideally experienced with wiring, mechanical fitting and electrical assembly
- A background in Manufacture/Production
- Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team player
- A UK driving licence
