Accountant Location: Derby, Hybrid Salary: £25 – 30k An accountant role working for a well-established independent accountancy firm based in Derby. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is * AAT qualified and working towards their ACCA/ACA qualification OR * someone who is nearing completion of their AAT. Accountant must have: * A minimum of 5/10 years in UK Accountancy Practice experience is required. * Good knowledge of accounting software would also be preferable. * The work will be predominantly property related and the ideal candidate will be working with Landlords, developers, builders and letting agents. Accountant Responsibilities: * Preparation of Statutory Accounts for small and mid-sized companies. * Reconciliation of statements * Reconciling redemption, remortgaging, and purchases of properties * General Bookkeeping duties for clients. * Management of VAT and capital allowances Accountant Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 5/10 years experience in UK Accountancy Practice. * AAT qualified or late stage AAT and progressing with ACCA or ACA qualification. * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. * Experience with software packages such as; Iris, Xero, Dext & Bright accountancy Manager Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work autonomously. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Candidate must be living local to Derby city centre.
