What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver inclusive, high-quality English lessons to KS3/4 pupils with EHCPs
  • Plan and adapt teaching to meet individual needs and curriculum requirements
  • Embed reading, writing and oracy across learning
  • Assess, track and report pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
  • Provide feedback and set clear targets for improvement
  • Contribute to school improvement, moderation and best practice sharing
  • Work collaboratively with English Lead, colleagues and communicate with parents/carers
  • Support school activities, policies and wider life of the school

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC
  • Teaching experience delivering the English National Curriculum
