Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. It truly is an exciting and inspiring place to work in the heart of Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth Harbour, UK.

For this incredible opportunity, we are looking for a creative, talented, and passionate Junior Level Designer who, as well as creating great gameplay levels, can demonstrate the ability to work in close collaboration with the Lead Designer and Game Designers to help define, prototype, and iterate core game mechanics.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience using game-specific editing packages, most importantly Unreal.
  • Game scripting experience using Kismet or similar.
  • Experience developing third-person action and/or platform games is preferable but not essential.
  • Extremely quality oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with iterative development and rapid gameplay prototyping.
  • Experience using Maya.
  • Modding experience.
  • Candidates without a portfolio of work will not be considered.
