Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the team on a prestigious development comprising a major commercial office scheme and associated multi-storey car park.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will operate as the No.2 on site, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of works to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a landmark project while working for a business renowned for investing in its people and promoting from within.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Manager in the successful delivery of the project.
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site.
- Driving health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Coordinating site activities to maintain programme milestones.
- Conducting site inspections, progress meetings and quality checks.
- Managing short-term programmes and resolving operational challenges.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with design specifications and client expectations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager position with a recognised main contractor.
- Experience delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, office, or similar construction projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and site management procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate numerous subcontractors.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications essential.
