We are recruiting for a SMSTS Site Manager / Supervisor to support a project in Wantage groundworks. This role would suit an experienced site professional with a background in groundworks or civils on new build projects. Working on a main contractor's site, you will oversee a team of civils/groundworks subcontractors who are delivering safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities on a new build project working on groundworks.
  • Lead and coordinate a team including minor line and level-setting out.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, contractors and site personnel.
  • Monitor quality, productivity and programme adherence.
  • Ensure site documentation and reporting requirements are maintained throughout the project.

Essential Requirements

  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
  • Experience managing site-based teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.
