We are recruiting for a SMSTS Site Manager / Supervisor to support a project in Wantage groundworks. This role would suit an experienced site professional with a background in groundworks or civils on new build projects. Working on a main contractor's site, you will oversee a team of civils/groundworks subcontractors who are delivering safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities on a new build project working on groundworks.
- Lead and coordinate a team including minor line and level-setting out.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, contractors and site personnel.
- Monitor quality, productivity and programme adherence.
- Ensure site documentation and reporting requirements are maintained throughout the project.
Essential Requirements
- SMSTS qualification.
- Previous experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
- Experience managing site-based teams and subcontractors.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.
