Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of major industrial construction projects while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working?
Our client is a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality industrial and logistics developments across the Midlands and beyond. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Leicester.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for delivering two industrial construction projects simultaneously, with project values ranging up to £20 million. Supported by a wider commercial team, you will manage the financial performance of your projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of up to two live industrial projects at any one time.
* Preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
* Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
* Administration of subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Preparation and submission of client valuations and applications for payment.
* Management of project cash flow and commercial risk.
* Identification and negotiation of variations and change management opportunities.
* Working closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
* Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where required.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to successful project delivery.
About You
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.
* Experience delivering industrial, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management processes.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (preferred).
* Full UK driving licence.
