  • Psychological Assessment & Intervention: Lead the delivery of psychological assessments and interventions for patients on designated wards, ensuring care is in line with their risks and needs.

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide expert psychological input and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, helping to shape treatment plans for women with complex mental health needs.

  • Coordinating the Psychology Service: Oversee the delivery of psychological services, managing qualified psychologists, trainee psychologists, assistant psychologists, and students.

  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with the MDT and Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure integrated and holistic treatment. Act as a liaison between inpatient and community psychology services.

  • Support for Recovery: Contribute to innovative, evidence-based treatments, supporting the recovery of patients with conditions such as PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist / Head of Therapy to join our dedicated team at a specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for adult females., * Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.

  • Experience in working with adult females in acute or psychiatric settings (ideally PICU and acute care experience).

  • Key Skills:

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and supervising clinical teams.

  • Expertise in psychological assessment and intervention across a variety of mental health conditions.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to enhancing the patient journey.

  • Ability to implement and evaluate psychological interventions with an evidence-based approach
