An established and growing construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join its pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful SME that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and public sectors. The business has an excellent pipeline of work through repeat clients, negotiated opportunities and public sector frameworks. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Bid Writer who can play a key role in producing compelling, high-quality submissions that help secure future projects. The Role Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Estimators and Directors, you'll be responsible for managing the written content of PQQs, SQs, ITTs and framework submissions from start to finish. Key responsibilities include: * Writing, reviewing and editing high-quality bid responses. * Producing compelling responses tailored to individual client requirements. * Coordinating information from operational, commercial and technical teams. * Managing bid programmes and ensuring submissions are completed to tight deadlines. * Maintaining and developing a library of quality bid content. * Supporting framework submissions and public sector tenders. * Liaising with designers, supply chain partners and external stakeholders where required. * Proofreading submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance. * Contributing ideas to improve bid quality, win themes and presentation. About You We're looking for someone who enjoys producing high-quality written submissions and can work collaboratively across the business. You'll ideally have: * Previous experience as a Bid Writer within the construction industry. * Experience producing successful PQQ, SQ, ITT and framework submissions. * Excellent written communication and proofreading skills. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. * The confidence to engage with operational teams and extract technical information. * A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail. * Strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience within a main contractor environment would be highly advantageous.
