A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team delivering a landmark £100 million high-rise residential development in the heart of Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on one of the city’s flagship schemes, working alongside an experienced project team on a complex, technically challenging build from structural frame through to completion.
The Role
- Managing and coordinating all engineering activities on site.
- Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
- Reviewing and managing technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
- Ensuring quality standards and compliance with project requirements.
- Supporting the management of temporary works and logistics.
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
- Background with a recognised Main Contractor.
- High-rise residential or major RC frame experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, setting out, and engineering processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- SMSTS and CSCS qualifications desirable.
