A £100m high-rise residential scheme in Birmingham City Centre is looking to appoint an experienced Internals Site Manager to take ownership of the internal works packages through to completion.

This is a key role on a complex, multi-storey residential scheme, offering long-term security, a strong benefits package, and the opportunity to work on one of the city’s most prestigious projects.

The Role

As Internals Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all internal trades, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high-quality finish. You will work closely with the Project Manager, external works teams, and subcontractors to drive progress across multiple plots and floors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating all internal fit-out works (drylining, M&E interfaces, joinery, finishes, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.)
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance, quality, and programme
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are met and maintained at all times
  • Carrying out quality inspections and snagging to handover standard
  • Managing short-term programming and sequencing of works
  • Liaising with design, commercial, and site teams to resolve issues efficiently

About You

  • Proven experience as an Internals Site Manager on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects
  • Experience working on high-rise residential schemes is highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of internal construction processes and sequencing
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certified
  • Able to manage multiple subcontractors and drive high-quality outcomes under pressure
