Project Manager – Major Student Accommodation Project Location: Bath Salary: Up to £90,000 + package Ever wanted to put your name to a project that genuinely stands out on your CV? I'm working with a leading main contractor looking to appoint a Project Manager to join a major student accommodation development. This is a high-profile, multi-building scheme that will deliver 1050 student bedspaces, with sustainability and quality playing a big part in how the project comes together. It's the kind of project that offers more than just another job. You'll be working on a substantial development with a recognised contractor, a major client and a clear programme through to 2028. What's the opportunity? You'll take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of the project, working closely with the site team, design team, subcontractors and client to keep everything moving in the right direction. You'll have the opportunity to influence programme, quality, safety and commercial performance while helping to deliver a complex development that will make a real difference to the university's campus. The project also has a strong sustainability focus, with the buildings designed to Passivhaus standards. It's a great opportunity to build on your experience of high-quality construction and be involved in a scheme with demanding environmental performance objectives. What will you be doing? * Taking ownership of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, to the required quality and within budget. * Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and consultants to maintain progress across the development. * Managing the construction programme, identifying potential delays early and putting plans in place to keep things on track. * Working closely with the commercial and design teams to resolve issues and make sure decisions are made at the right time. * Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental performance. * Building strong relationships with the client and wider project team, keeping communication clear and issues dealt with proactively. * Monitoring progress, managing risk and reporting on performance throughout the project. What are we looking for? You'll be an experienced Project Manager with a background in main contracting and the confidence to manage a substantial construction project. You'll ideally have experience delivering large, complex building schemes, such as residential, student accommodation, education, hotels or other multi-unit developments. We're looking for someone who can bring a team together, make sound decisions and balance the detail of day-to-day delivery with the bigger picture. You'll be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, managing subcontractors and taking responsibility for results. Experience of sustainability-led construction would be valuable, but we're particularly interested in people who understand quality-led building delivery and want to be part of a high-performing team. What's in it for you? * Salary up to £90,000, depending on experience. * Car allowance. * Bonus. * Private healthcare. * Pension. * 26 days' annual holiday. * The opportunity to deliver a major, high-profile development with a respected main contractor. * Experience on a sustainability-led project that will give your CV real substance. * The chance to work alongside experienced construction professionals and continue developing your career within an established business.
