I'm recruiting a Document Controller for a leading main contractor working on a significant new student accommodation development. The project will deliver 1050 student bedspaces across a multi-building development, with completion expected in 2028. With a two-year contract, this is also a good opportunity to gain further experience on a major development and strengthen your CV with a well-known name in the construction industry. What will you be doing? * Managing the receipt, issue, revision and distribution of project documents and drawings. * Maintaining accurate document registers and ensuring the latest information is readily available to the project team. * Checking that documents follow the correct naming, revision and approval processes. * Coordinating information between the client, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams. * Tracking technical submissions, drawing updates and outstanding information. * Supporting the team with document queries and helping resolve any issues around missing or out-of-date information. * Keeping electronic project records organised and audit-ready. * Helping maintain a consistent, efficient approach to document management across the project. What are we looking for? You'll have previous experience in a Document Controller role within construction, ideally working for a main contractor or on a large building project. Good communication skills are important, as you'll be dealing with people across different disciplines and helping them get the information they need. You'll also be confident using electronic document management systems and Microsoft Office. Experience with platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex or similar would be useful. Above all, we're looking for someone reliable, proactive and happy to take ownership of their work.
