Site Manager - £4m Medical Centre
Location: Bedford
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + Car + Package
We are working with a well-established regional main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for the delivery of a £4m medical centre in Bedford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor with a strong regional presence and a growing portfolio of projects across the commercial, healthcare and public sectors.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The Role
- Manage all on-site construction activities from start to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme, drawings and specifications.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Monitor progress and proactively resolve any delays or site issues.
- Liaise with the Contracts Manager, consultants and wider project team.
- Manage site documentation, RAMS, quality inspections and progress reports.
- Ensure the completed medical centre meets the required standards and client expectations.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager for a main contractor.
- Experience delivering healthcare, commercial, public sector or similarly complex construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site management procedures.
- Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
- SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications.
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.
The Package
- £60,000-£70,000 salary, depending on experience.
