We are supporting a global FMCG corporation with their search for an EHS Lead/Manager. This role will require at least 4 days on site in Wrexham.
The Role
- Lead, develop and own all activities in relation to EHS practices on the Portable Foods site, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations.
- Act as a business contact to the Group and European EHS functions.
- Ensure site compliance to all relevant and updated legislation, standards and accreditation processes.
- Own and drive the phase development and standardisation processes linked to Global Projects at the Portable Foods site and measure compliance.
- Ensure best practice EHS systems are in place and coach, support and mentor the Plant Team in all EHS activities to execute recommendations in line with Plant operations and cost improvements.
- Initiate, implement and manage developments to the EHS management systems and coordinate internal audits integral to the site safety performance.
- Review all Group Global and European standards and amend Management Systems accordingly to meet requirements, leading risk assessments for hazards across the site ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks.
- Liaise with local regulatory bodies and government standard agencies for all EHS compliance activities and ensure robust ongoing relationships are developed.
- Create and deliver Master Schedule.
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to our fundamentals through delivering work following the highest standards of: People Safety and Environment, including Natural Resource Conservation (NRC), Quality and Food Safety.
Your Profile
- Degree qualified or equivalent through experience.
- EHS professional qualifications or relevant experience.
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships across all levels of the Plant.
- Desirable: Previous knowledge of Corporate Safety/Environmental Systems would be advantageous.
