Deputy Manager – Nurse-Led Mental Health Service

We are partnering with one of the UK’s leading mental health providers to recruit a Deputy Manager for a new, purpose-built 26-bed nurse-led residential service. The service supports adults with long-term mental health needs who are moving on from hospital care and working towards greater independence.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will help lead the service day-to-day, providing clinical and operational leadership. You will supervise the team, maintain high standards of care, and ensure a safe and positive environment for residents, families and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as senior nurse on shift, promoting safe, effective and person-centred care.
- Support compliance with governance, statutory requirements, and organisational policies.
- Oversee risk assessment and risk management across the service.
- Promote and role model equality, diversity and inclusion within the team.
- Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Resilient and compassionate leader with strong clinical skills.
- NMC registration required.
- 18 months–2 years post-qualification experience (mental health or complex care desirable).
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement.
