An established, dynamic mid-tier law firm in central London is seeking a qualified employment lawyer with more than three years’ post-qualification experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both contentious and non-contentious employment law, including litigation and corporate support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
- Represent clients in employment tribunal proceedings, as well as handling advisory work.
- Provide corporate support, advising on employment issues in mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
- Advise clients on HR matters, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.
- Work closely with senior lawyers and clients to deliver tailored legal advice and solutions.
- Contribute to business development and firm-wide initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor with over three years’ post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Experience in both employment litigation (tribunal and High Court) and corporate support.
- Strong technical expertise in employment law, including redundancy, discrimination, TUPE, and contract law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage a demanding workload.
- Client-focused with a commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice.
