Job Description
Corporate/Commercial Associate – 2 PQE + London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-level associate (2+ PQE) to join the Corporate/Commercial team of a leading full-service law firm based in London. The firm advises a diverse client base ranging from large institutions, developers and businesses through to government bodies, not-for-profits, SMEs and family offices. Known for its particular strength in real estate, housing and development, the firm also has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice across a wide variety of sectors.
This full-time role will involve working closely with experienced partners and colleagues in the Corporate/Commercial team, managing your own matters with increasing autonomy while gaining exposure to high-value and complex transactions. The work will cover a broad mix of corporate and finance matters, including joint venture arrangements, M&A, corporate structuring, governance and compliance, commercial contracts across IT, hospitality and consumer markets, as well as regulatory advice and investment transactions.
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience, strong technical and drafting skills, an eagerness to develop commercial awareness, and the confidence to manage client relationships effectively. You should be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. An interest in the real estate sector is highly desirable, along with the ability to supervise and support junior colleagues and contribute to business development initiatives.
In return, the firm offers a stimulating and supportive working environment, exposure to high-quality work, and the opportunity to learn directly from senior lawyers and partners. There is a strong emphasis on professional development, flexibility, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, making this an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate looking to grow their career within a progressive and ambitious practice.
