About the role

We\'re looking for a strategic and creative Social Marketing Manager to take ownership of our social media presence, leading the development and execution of a data informed, best-in-class social strategy that drives brand love, customer engagement, and business growth. You\'ll define and oversee our key social platforms, ensure content cohesion with stakeholders across owned channels (CRM, PR, and web), as well as manage agency relationships andmentor a talented Social Media Lead.

What you’ll do

Social Media Strategy & Leadership

  • Own, define and evolve the social media strategy for the UK market, aligning with our customer & target market segment/s, brand and business goals.
  • Identify new opportunities for brand growth and community engagement across social platforms.
  • Set objectives, and KPIs across social channels (e.g. awareness, engagement, reach, sentiment, and traffic)
  • Manage budget allocation in line with objectives
  • Champion our tone of voice and visual identity across all social touchpoints.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, platform updates, and cultural moments to inform social strategy and wider creative campaigns/ propositions with your Marketing department counterparts
  • Work with wider channel stakeholders and agencies to maximize activity and content cohesion (eg web, CRM, PR)

Platform Management

  • Select & define the strategic use of platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (Twitter), Linkedin, YouTube, and Threads.
  • Guide the Social Media Lead in developing and scheduling content calendar, ensuring each platform serves its unique purpose and audience
  • Collaborate with the paid media team to align organic and paid strategies, and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all content reflects the ManyPets mission and values; as well as financial industry regulations.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Define and track performance metrics for organic social content.
  • Produce monthly and campaign-specific reports, analysing platform insights and
  • industry benchmarks.
  • Use data to inform iterative improvements and communicate ROl to senior stakeholders.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Social Media Lead, providing support on content planning, community management, influencer coordination, and creative production.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Creative, Brand, PR, Proposition, CRM, and Customer Service).
  • Content Cohesion Across Owned Channels
  • Work cross-functionally with CRM and PR teams to amplify campaigns and ensure storytelling is integrated and impactful across all owned channels.
  • Support campaign planning and execution with cohesive content strategies that drive engagement and conversion

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of experience in social media, with at least 2 years in a management or strategic role.
  • Proven track record of growing social audiences and engagement in a consumer-
  • facing brand.
  • Deep understanding of platform best practices and audience behaviour across social.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with social analytics tools (
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for pets and empathy for pet parents a plus!

On a typical day you’ll be working from a laptop with a screen, mouse, keyboard, and headset. You’ll be meeting your colleagues on Zoom and keeping in touch regularly via email and Slack too – we’d expect you to be using your computer for around seven hours a day. We’d ask that you have a distraction-free work area and a reliable internet connection with a speed of 25Mbps so you can work effectively. We’ll make sure you have the right home set-up that supports you in the role by providing best-in-class technology, money towards a desk, and vision support.
