Are you an Approved Social Worker ready to make a meaningful impact? At the Community Mental Health Service for Adults, you'll lead urgent and non-urgent assessments, support individuals with severe and enduring mental illness, and take on statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act. You'll work 9-5 with participation in the out of hours rota, delivering care in a collaborative team setting.

  • Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
  • This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Person Specification

  • Social work degree or equivalent and Qualification as an Approved Social Worker.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
