The Change Lead will deliver and project manage a number of work packages within one business change programme, which will be focussed on developing the Sales and Delivery Project Management Process/Lifecyle. It is desired that you have good understanding of how Project Managers, Business Development Managers and PMO roles work within organisations.
The Change Lead role will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating change management efforts across an internal business change programme. They will act as an advisor/coach in how we effectively manage and transition change within the programme. This role ensures the people side of change is prioritised through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, training and support to drive adoption and minimise resistance.
The role will be reporting into the PMO Manager, whilst directly working with the Programmes Director and other senior stakeholders. In addition the individual will work to bridge the gap between the Process Excellences, Sales and Delivery teams, collaborating and working closely by fostering a cross functional relationship.Main Responsibilities:
Programme/Project Delivery
Lead and Manage work packages with the business change programme
Ensure all stakeholders needs are clearly captured and understood, as well as the business and user benefits.
Liaise with programme lead to ensure effective use of resource in delivering project quality
Identify, track and mitigate risks
Change Strategy Planning
Define success metrics and monitor change adoption and performance against those metrics.
Develop and implement Change Management strategies for the programme in line with any defined change management practise our Process Excellence teams have devised (this is a new structure and therefore the successful individual will work with the team to develop these strategies in the business)
Develop a relationship with our current Improvement Manager (Process Excellence) to ensure business change managed on other projects/programmes roll into this programme
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Identify and engage key stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment and buy in
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and communications with business leaders
Act of trusted advisor to senior leaders (individual would benefit from having a Project Management Qualification, such as Prince or APM or recognised Change Management Qualification)
Develop and Deliver tailored communication plans
Training and Support
Develop a execution plan for delivering this change into BAU
Work with development teams to design and deliver training programs to equip staff with necessary skills
Develop user support tools such as FAQ’s and guidance documents
Establish Aftercare for programme and Feedback loops
Act as primary contact for the programme during implementation
Risk and Issue Management & Lessons Learned
Identify, track and mitigate risks and resistance related to programme change
Escalate unresolved change issues and develop contingency strategies
Capture Lessons Learned and integrate feedback to improve future change initiatives
In addition:
Mentor and Manage at least 1 report
Identify a strategy for Maintenance and Continuous Improvement on Project Management Framework
