We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our defence team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer needs are clearly captured, understood, and effectively built into project proposals.
  • Liaise with resource owners / team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost & delivery within project scope.
  • Manage any changes to project scope via the recognised “Change Request” process.
  • Act as champion for BMS project management processes, tools & techniques.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities relates to PM tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Project Manager with proven experience of managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Clear leadership style and the ability to direct others to achieve project success.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to articulate effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Numerate with a strong focus on financial management.
  • An organised yet flexible approach with the ability to influence/deliver through others.
  • Ability to identify resource requirements and negotiate availability with resource owners / team leaders.
  • Results driven self-starter with a positive CAN-DO approach focusing on solutions rather than problems.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience of Microsoft project management tools including MS Project and Excel.
  • Association of Project Management (APM) qualification (or willingness to work towards achieving this accredited qualification).
