The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient running of plant and workshop machinery across our world‑class facility. This is a hands‑on technical role with real impact—leading on complex fault resolution, guiding best practice, and supporting continuous improvement across maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily preventive and reactive maintenance on plant and workshop equipment
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex mechanical and electrical faults
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support risk assessments and permit‑to‑work processes
- Assist the Maintenance Operations Manager in planning workloads, shutdowns, and major overhauls
- Define and uphold maintenance standards and troubleshooting best practice
- Analyse recurring faults and recommend redesign, replacement, or process change
- Help improve workflow and reduce downtime through effective CAFM system use
- Liaise with external contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and scope compliance
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety across all work
- Complete required training to sustain competency
Person Profile
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Maintenance discipline
- Electrical maintenance qualification Level 3
- Ability to read and interpret schematic and line diagrams
- Ability to work at height
- Flexible to provide 24/7 standby cover as part of a rota
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding ability
- Competent using mobile devices for CAFM systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to obtain security clearance

- IOSH Managing Safely
- 18th Edition
- Knowledge of HAZOP
- Exposure to facility M&E design and commissioning
- Experience working with manufacturing operations
