The Advanced Assembly Technician at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) will play a crucial role in the precision assembly of complex components and systems. The successful candidate will work on high‑tech manufacturing projects, contributing to the development of innovative products and technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced assembly techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with sophisticated tools and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Precision Assembly: Perform complex and precise assembly tasks, including the integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components. Follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure high-quality results.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Operate advanced assembly equipment and specialized tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of tools to maintain optimal performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain product integrity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to solve technical challenges and optimize assembly processes. Provide feedback on design and assembly processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures. Update assembly documentation and work instructions as needed to reflect process improvements or changes.
