About the Role
As an Advanced Research Engineer, you’ll lead and deliver cutting‑edge projects in the Informatics research area. You’ll work at the intersection of IT and OT, deploying secure infrastructure, managing Linux-based systems, and implementing advanced monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and virtual environments
- Design and manage secure infrastructure for cybersecurity monitoring
- Develop and integrate systems using Python or similar languages
- Support digital engineering projects with creative problem solving and system design
- Contribute to research proposals and larger bid preparations
- Occasionally manage projects over £50k and support project planning and risk reviews
- Promote MTC capabilities through publications and presentations
- Engage with customers to support business development
