We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Advanced Technician to join our growing Manufacturing Operations team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, a passion for technology, and a desire to develop expertise in cutting-edge manufacturing and inspection processes.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Operations, you will play a key role in delivering customer projects by operating, supporting, and maintaining specialist equipment within dedicated project cells. Working alongside Programme Managers, Project Managers, technical specialists, and customers, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience with innovative technologies such as Cold Spray, X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT), and other emerging manufacturing and inspection techniques. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new technologies and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Safely operate and support advanced manufacturing and inspection equipment in line with approved procedures and work instructions.
- Develop technical proficiency across a range of specialist technologies, including Cold Spray, XCT, and other advanced manufacturing processes.
- Learn and adapt quickly to new equipment, technologies, and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safe systems of work.
- Support project delivery through equipment setup, operation, and basic maintenance activities.
- Accurately record production, inspection, and process data in line with quality and customer requirements.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and apply 5S principles where appropriate.
- Identify and report equipment faults, process improvements, quality concerns, and safety issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, capability, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers to ensure successful project execution.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting a variety of projects and technologies as business needs evolve.
What We're Looking For

- Understanding of general manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures.
- Practical, hands-on experience working with machinery or technical equipment.
