Specialist Worker – UASC Service, Nottingham
Manuele Praktijk Open Hart is recruiting a Specialist Young Persons Worker to coordinate the support identified on a co‑produced support plan with Unaccompanied Asylum‑Seeking Children who are looked after by Nottinghamshire Children’s Services.
Position: Permanent, 37hrs, Grade 4 AS, ÂŁ28,731, FTE
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement a co‑produced support plan for UASC.
- Link children to relevant support services and work alongside a Nottingham Refugee Forum worker.
- Support young people with their asylum status and facilitate the development of life skills.
- Apply trauma‑informed care principles in all interactions.
- Work shift patterns including some weekends and evenings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with young people in accommodation or youth work settings.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care approaches.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car is beneficial but not essential.
